OUR WORK

London City University commissioned the design and build of “test cells” located within the basement of an existing university building in Farringdon. The engineering labs would be constructed to provide exact environments to mitigate extreme conditions bought on by the various studies carried out in the test cell, including controlled explosions which are characteristic of combustion engines.

Leonari were responsible for the design and development of 16 unique test cells with significant enhancements made to the BMS platform to allow for independent and intricate control of each space. The installation had to be engineered to meet the stringent ATEX requirements for such environments and included high pressurised ductwork and VAV systems.

This was not your typical bread and butter M&E services installation. It required careful customisation of all services to achieve the client brief and because of this, it is a project that we are extremely proud of!
