Leonari were awarded this project by our client Neilcott to carry out the full mechanical and public health services package for a multi-storey classroom new build at this popular primary school in West London. Contemporary educational institutions have a myriad of additional regulatory requirements which affect MEP across the spectrum – from ventilation and carbon dioxide control right down to finer details of hot water temperatures and WC heights. Leonari’s understanding of such technical and installation compliance requirements meant that we were able to deliver on time and fully compliant.
The project comprised of new ventilation systems with carbon dioxide monitoring, new Daikin VRV air conditioning, several large new WC core areas and new wet areas in each classroom. The new building was constructed adjacent to an existing and in-use area of the school in which there were several mechanical services interfaces, and an understanding the older infrastructure was required in order to ensure that services were not disrupted during term time.
The project completed in early June 2018 and Leonari was asked to continue with some further refurbishment works in other parts of the school over the summer of 2018, specifically a new staffroom, reception area, office areas and library, with a combined value of over £150,000 of additional follow on work.
