Covent Garden, London
Our capital plant replacement works at 55 Drury involved the replacement of 2 dry air coolers at roof level that would provide a combined cooling load of 800kW to the building. Our works also included the complete refurbishment of the buildings large Air Handling Unit supplying 12.8m3/s of fresh air to the building. The refurbishment included the installation of new high efficiency low noise components to the refurbished AHU.
Detailed planning was critical to ensure that the 7-week programme was met. The works were carried out in the highly congested roof enclosure and had to be carefully sequenced to ensure that we do not “snooker” ourselves in when changing the large components of the AHU. The other tricky bit was that we were replacing existing 2 No. dry air coolers with 4 No. which meant the space was going to get even tighter.
The project was a success and delivered on time to a very satisfied client.
